A Note Written by Jennifer Ritchie:
My husband, John Ritchie, has been in construction for over 26 years, and this company has been open for 8 years. I got my start with Phillips and Jordan, doing cost accounting for their massive Hurricane Katrina cleanup efforts. We are both native Knoxvillians, he CAK and me Halls. He was a communications major, and I was an accounting major; we both graduated from the University of TN. We've been married for over 20 years, have 3 kids, and 2 dogs. We call home and love the Fountain City community. If we aren't working....we are at kids' sports, the lake, or watching a TN game, all the while wishing time would slow down!
Our company has a very family feel. We've had the same loyal crews for all 8 years. Our goal is to keep all our crews full steam ahead, providing for their families and ours. Do quality work we can all be proud of, and live life to the fullest.
We grow through word of mouth and are known for our honesty and willingness to make things right. One goal is to get in and out with precision, and no one ever knows we were there. The construct just magically appears, perfect!!
We recognize the importance of relationships and communication in this key area and industry and are deeply committed to both. Construction is never fail-proof, but we work until customers are super pleased with the results.
Our labor is all in-house, so no scheduling issues with them working for other companies. We control the schedule, and with as many crews and trades as we have under our belt, it feels like a one-stop shop. This is ideal in our mind and for many builders and customers. One point of contact for the entire scope saves time and usually dollars.
The moral of our business story is "do good work". Work that we can be proud of and that customers love. Provide for our work families, and enjoy what we do. God changes paths daily, but as long as we put forth our best efforts at whatever comes our way, we know he will direct and provide.
